Modeling from Camera View Speeds Up Everything

Hey Blender friend πŸ‘‹

Early on in my Blender journey, I made a mistake without even realizing it:
I modeled everything in free view... zooming around the scene, obsessing over every tiny detail from every random angle.

The problem?
Half of the things I spent hours perfecting... were never even visible in the final shot. πŸ˜…

The big shift came when I started locking into the Camera View early.

Now, before I even begin detailing, I:

  • Jump into Camera View (Numpad 0)

  • Frame the key parts of the scene properly

  • Model with a "what can the camera actually see?" mindset

Result:

  • Cleaner scenes

  • Less wasted work

  • Way faster project times

Working this way forces you to focus on what matters β€” not random background areas nobody will ever notice.

If you're looking to finish more projects (and get better results faster), start locking your camera early and building from that view.

It’ll feel weird at first β€” but it will completely change your workflow.
